What is Fitness?

Fitness:

 The condition of being physically fit and healthy.

                                                            Or

The Quality of being Suitable to fulfill a particular role or task.

Around 1950 the term “Fitness” increased in western vernacular by a factor of 10. Modern definition of fitness describe either a person or machine’s ability to perform a specific function or a holistic definition of human adaptability to cope with various situations. This has led to an interrelation of human fitness and attractiveness which has mobilized global fitness and fitness equipment industries. Regarding specific function, fitness is attributed to person who possess significant aerobic or anaerobic ability, i.e. strength or endurance.

Physical Fitness may be defines as a state of health and well-being. More specially defining the ability to perform aspects of sports, occupations and day-to-day life activities. In order to achieve physical fitness you must take proper nutrition along with proper exercise and sufficient rest.

There are four types of fitness that are important to incorporate into your physical activity routine:
1.) Cardiovascular/aerobic exercise.

2.) Anaerobic exercise.
3.) Joint flexibility.
4.) Muscular endurance and strength.
